Primo importante appuntamento stagionale con il massimo Campionato Italiano che si è disputato a Mantova, clima primaverile e pubblico delle grandi occasioni ha fatto da cornice a questo primo round, il team Max Bart Motorsport ha schierato di sue due piloti titolari Luca Ruffini e Nicolas Lapucci nella classe Mx2 in sella alle nuove Husqvarna FC250.
Nelle qualifiche, i piloti sono stati divisi in due gruppi, nel primo Luca Ruffini riesce a trovare un buon feeling andando a far segnare il nono tempo, Nicolas è stato strepitoso facendo segnare il miglior tempo del gruppo 2 e andando a conquistare la seconda posizione assoluta.
Al via della prima manche Nicolas non riesce ad avere una buona partenza e nel corso del primo giro è anche vittima di una caduta che gli ha fatto perdere diverse posizioni, Lapucci ripartito praticamente nelle ultime posizioni ha messo in scena una grandissima rimonta che si è conclusa con il 14° posto. Ruffini che non partiva da una posizione agevole al cancello ha faticato a trovare il giusto feeling ha però portato a casa il 20° posto.
In gara 2 Nicolas Lapucci per la seconda volta non riesce a sfruttare la sua posizione al cancello e alla prima curva rimane incastrato a centro gruppo, il pilota toscano nel cercare di recuperare ha commesso qualche errore che non gli ha dato la possibilità di fare meglio della 13° posizione al traguardo. Luca Ruffini in questa sua seconda gara ha dimostrato di sapere essere veloce e di poter stare nel gruppo dei migliori della categoria, grazie ad una guida sciolta ed efficace ha concluso con un ottimo decimo posto.
In classifica di giornata Nicolas Lapucci chiude al decimo posto e Ruffini in undicesima posizione.
Prossimo appuntamento con il Campionato Italiano Prestige il prossimo 20-21 Aprile a Cingoli.
Max Bartolini team manager:”Il fine settimana era partito molto bene sia Nicolas che Luca sono stati molto bravi nelle prove cronometrate, Lapucci con il secondo miglior tempo molto vicino al pole man ci aveva dato l’illusione di poter competere per la vittoria, purtroppo Nicolas non è mai partito bene e ha commesso troppi errori nel cercare di rimontare, Ruffini invece dopo una prima manche non facile ha fatto vedere ottime cose in gara 2. Si continua a lavorare per poter essere competitivi e poter combattere per le posizioni che ci competono, abbiamo un mese prima della prossima gara e cercheremo di arrivare a Cingoli pronti.”
Italian MX Prestige Championship Round 1 Mantua.
First important event of the season with the top Italian Championship which was held in Mantua, spring climate and spectators for great occasions were the setting for this first round, the Max Bart Motorsport team fielded its two regular riders Luca Ruffini and Nicolas Lapucci in the Mx2 class riding the new Husqvarna FC250s.
In qualifying, the riders were divided into two groups, in the first Luca Ruffini managed to find a good feeling and set the ninth time, Nicolas was sensational, setting the best time in group 2 and going on to conquer the second position overall.
At the start of the first heat Nicolas was unable to get a good start and during the first lap he was also the victim of a fall which caused him to lose several positions. Lapucci started practically in the last positions and staged a great comeback which ended with 14th place. Ruffini, who didn’t start from a comfortable position at the gate, struggled to find the right feeling but took home 20th place.
In race 2 Nicolas Lapucci fails to take advantage of his position at the gate for the second time and at the first corner he gets stuck in the middle of the group, the Tuscan driver in trying to recover made some errors which did not give him the opportunity to do better than 13th position at the finish line. Luca Ruffini in this, his second race, demonstrated that he knows how to be fast and that he can stay in the group of the best in the category, thanks to a smooth and effective driving he finished with an excellent tenth place.
In the day’s standings, Nicolas Lapucci finishes in tenth place and Ruffini in eleventh position.
Next appointment with the Italian Prestige Championship next April 20-21 in Cingoli.
Max Bartolini team manager: “The weekend started very well, both Nicolas and Luca were very good in the timed tests, Lapucci with the second best time very close to the pole man had given us the illusion of being able to compete for the victory, unfortunately Nicolas never started well and made too many mistakes in trying to recover, Ruffini, on the other hand, after a difficult first heat, showed excellent things in race 2. We continue to work to be competitive and be able to fight for the positions we deserve , we have a month before the next race and we will try to get to Cingoli ready.”
